ABOUT THE CENTER
Center's Mission:
Help accelerate the advancement, adoption and healthcare delivery of Personalized
Medicine, and ultimately its impact on population health, through the creation and
integration of business delivery models and mechanisms.
The Center will achieve this mission by executing its business research programs in
collaboration with Center Members and Participants.
The scope of research and business experimentation will include the challenges that
current business models in Healthcare present to future adoption of Personalized
Medicine. Examples of these challenges include:
- Payers' benefit, coverage and reimbursement models
- Medical product sales processes
- Hospital and physician incentive and revenue models; business approaches
- Consumer utilization models.
An international perspective will be incorporated in research and experimentation
projects as appropriate.
Multi-directional business research collaboration is at the core of Center's approach
to program execution. This approach supports collective results which an individual
company would not be able to achieve. The Center's Collaborative Business Research
Framework COL-LABZÓ is utilized to neutrally facilitate communication, knowledge
sharing, and joint accomplishment of practical, actionable results among members
and program participants.
As the Center's programs unfold in the US and internationally, its members will
include representatives of different companies and sectors along the Healthcare
continuum, among them:
- Biotechnology companies
- Pharmaceutical companies
- Payer organizations
- Medical Providers - hospitals and doctors
- Employers as sponsors of health benefits
- Healthcare consumers
As appropriate for specific programs, the Center will create affiliations with
various organizations, coalitions and agencies focused on related topics and
challenges.
The Center applies its business modeling frameworks and methodologies in the
process of business research and experimentation. Utilization of the Center's
analysis frameworks and the COL-LABZÓ facilitation approach are necessary for
neutral facilitation of collaboration in industries such as Healthcare and Life
Sciences with complex delivery systems and often misaligned interests among
participants.
Additionally, the Center's dedication to research and not any other commercial
interests ensures its independence, neutrality and effectiveness as a cross-sector
and cross-company facilitator.
The center relies on its members to execute specific business functions and
processes after they are researched, designed and tested. This ensures
sustainability of achieved results and faster integration of business innovation
into the industry channel. This structure will also allow the Center to remain
focused on collaboration, research and experimentation.
