RESEARCH PROGRAMS
Completed Project: "Understanding the Promise and Challenges
of Personalized Medicine"
This Project was started in the Fall of 2005 and completed in the Spring of 2006. The objectives
were to develop an understanding and conduct an assessment of:
- The current state, prospects and timelines for Personalized Medicine
- How developments in Personalized Medicine may impact the Healthcare Industry
- How the current state of Healthcare may impact the pace of development and
adoption of Personalized Medicine
- When and how the Healthcare Industry should prepare for adoption and delivery of Personalized
Medicine.
As a result of this research, Executive Frameworks wrote a white paper "Personalized
Medicine and Healthcare Delivery: Mutual Impact, Threats and Opportunities" dated April
2006. This paper was included in a report written for the New York Stock Exchange Group
called "The Future of the Biomedical Industry in an Era of Globalization". The report was
prepared by the Kellogg Center for Biotechnology at the Kellogg School of Management under
the direction of Professor Alicia Löffler and Scott Stern. To request a copy of the white
paper, please contact us.
New Research and Experimentation Programs
The Center is currently in the process of planning, organizing and engaging participants
in new multi-project research programs. The programs will research existing and create
new business models related to these other topics:
- Healthcare delivery for advances in diagnostics
- The adoption process of new methods that are considered experimental by the
Healthcare channel
- Preventive and preemptive care models
- Opportunities for input and participation from the Healthcare delivery sector in
the process of development and transfer to adoption of Personalized Medicine.
